A piece of acrylic on canvas and plywood covered with varnish takes the shape of an imaginary window to a landscape. The title “the protection of the goddess” refers to the Greek goddess Artemis who in the prelude of the Trojan war demands the king’s eldest daughter to be sacrificed. But even as the sacrifice is being performed, the goddess rescues the girl and carries her to a temple of hers on a remote island.
